I really liked George Ella Lyon's Where I'm From poem, so I decided to google it just to see what I would get(I google a lot, it's a weird obsession...).
This is the first link I clicked on:

I thought this was interesting, because it shows different ways of interpreting the poem and how you can use it as an outline to make your own Where I'm From poem. I also thought it was cool how some people made it into a video. It's interesting to see the different ways people interpret the same thing and how they can borrow an idea from someone else and make it their own. It makes me think about how everyone sees the world differently based around their experiences and how they view the world, and how all of that relates to how we choose to express ourselves.
haha! I Google everything! I don't know what I would do without it! That was a cool site you found. I also like your point about how we all see the world differently based on our different experiences.
ReplyDeleteI agree with how interesting it is to see how people have different interpretations of a lot of things. I was just talking to a friend and she was explaining how she wrote one simple sentence basically, and it waas interpreted in almost 15 different ways which is pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI think its great that everyone has a different perspectives on things. Everyone should have their own opinions and point of view that makes them an individual.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you are adding all these layers of understanding to the poem by deepening the context. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI agree that people have different view points on things. If everyone had the same view point on everything then I really don't know what this world would be like. cool blog, and I google everything as well haha.
ReplyDeleteHey Caitlin! I have to say that the website you found is amazing! It's really cool how people can take inspiration from that and create their own story. Whether it be for themselves or for someone else, they take strength and pour their hearts out. I enjoyed hearing and reading their poems and opening my mind onto a global scale.
